The Sketch Book Project

This year I'm participating in The Sketch Book Project. Thousands of people buy a sketchbook from the Art House Co-op and start creating, there are loads of themes to choose from and very few rules about what you can sketch. Everyone sends their sketchbooks back and they go on a world exhibition after that they are kept permanently at the Brooklyn Art Library, where you can go and visit them whenever you want, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Here's a couple images from sketchbooks past.

Fake Moustaches

This is my nephew Carter, he's been faithfully drawing a super mario moustache on to his face every morning for a few days now, he has a great imagination, likes to help out with my prints and make suggestions. His suggestions are always pretty good, if I could just harness even a tiny portion of his quirky 9 year old creativity, I'm pretty sure I could take over the world.

Today is my last day to put the finishing touches on my collection for Printsource New York. This is my wall where I look at my work, there's no more room left!

David Shrigley

David Shrigley is one of my favourite illustrators, I love the simplicity of his work and his ridiculous sentiments. His work especially appeals to me when I am tired, like I am now.

Printsource New York August 1+2+3 2011

I'm really excited, nervous and a little terrified to be showing for my first time at Printsource New York.

In just over a week i'll be hopping on a big plane and lugging all my prints, vintage and mountains of other stuff over to New York from Sydney, maybe i'll see you there? I'm in booth E23.
